Carpet & Underlay
Carpet, underlay, smooth-edge and every last staple. The tack strip comes up with it so nothing is left to catch on the new floor.

Service
Old carpet, tiles, floating boards, vinyl, glue and staples — lifted, bagged and taken away. We bring the machines and the dust extraction, and we leave the slab ready for prep.
Overview
Every new floor starts with an old one leaving the building, and that first day sets the tone for everything after it. A strip-out done in a hurry leaves ridges of adhesive, bedding sand, tack strip staples and tile fragments behind — and every one of those shows up as a lump, a squeak or a hollow spot once the new boards are down.
Nulook strips out floors across Perth as a standalone job or as day one of a full installation. Carpet and underlay, ceramic and porcelain tile, direct-stick vinyl and cork, floating laminate, old parquetry and glued-down timber all come up the same way: machine first, hand tools where the machine can't reach, then a proper vacuum before anyone calls it finished.
Because the same crew that lifts the old floor also preps the slab and lays the new one, there is no gap between trades to argue about. If the subfloor needs more work than expected, you hear it from us on the day, not after the boards are already glued down.
What's Included
No line items appearing halfway through the job. This is the scope, quoted once, after we have seen the floor.
Carpet, underlay, smooth-edge and every last staple. The tack strip comes up with it so nothing is left to catch on the new floor.
Ceramic, porcelain and stone lifted off the slab, then the bedding and adhesive ground back rather than left as ridges.
Glued-down and floating boards, laminate and old parquetry removed, including the underlay and any residual adhesive.
The stubborn ones. Sheet vinyl, vinyl planks, cork and direct-stick products taken back to a clean, sound substrate.
The detail nobody photographs. Every fixing pulled so the new floor sits flat and silent from the first day.
Debris bagged, loaded and taken off site. You are not left with a driveway full of broken tile.
How It Works
We look at what is down, what is under it, and how we get it out — stairs, lifts, parking and protection all get sorted before a machine is unloaded.
Doorways sealed, walls and joinery protected, extraction set up. The mess stays in the room it belongs in.
Machine work first, hand work in the corners and against joinery, with dust pulled straight off the cutting head.
Slab vacuumed, debris removed, and an honest report on what the subfloor needs before the new floor goes down.

Local Detail
Most of the flooring failures we get called to look at in Perth trace back to what was — or was not — done on day one. Adhesive ridges telegraph through a floating floor as ripples you can feel through your socks. Tile bedding left in place eats the height you needed for the new build-up. Staples left in a timber subfloor work their way up through underlay and start to click.
Stripping the floor properly is also the only way to see what you are really dealing with. Cracks, moisture staining, patched service runs and slab humps only reveal themselves once the old covering is gone — which is why we quote the preparation separately, after the strip-out, rather than guessing at it.

Questions
Yes. Removal and disposal are part of the job unless you tell us otherwise. The debris is bagged, loaded and taken off site the same day wherever access allows, so you are not left with a pile in the driveway.
Less than you would expect. We run dust extraction directly off the machines, seal doorways and protect adjoining surfaces. Tile removal is the dustiest job on the list and even that stays largely contained to the room we are working in.
Yes — ceramic, porcelain and stone. Tile removal is the most labour-intensive strip-out there is because the bedding and adhesive have to come back with the tile, not stay behind. We price it per square metre after we have seen it.
If the room is clear we can start straight away. If it is not, tell us at quote stage — we can allow for moving and stacking, but it needs to be in the price rather than a surprise on the day.
Yes. Plenty of our strip-out work is for builders, renovators and homeowners who have another trade lined up. You get the same machines and the same clean handover.
An average Perth home is one to two days. Direct-stick tile over a large area, multiple levels or difficult access can push that out, and we will tell you which one you are before we start.
